Cell Analyzing

The flow facility is equipped with multiple different analysers, each with its own possibilities. All machines are available 24/7 on an autonomous basis following a theoretical and practical introduction provided by the core staff.

BD LSR Fortessa

  • 5 Spatially separated lasers (365nm, 405nm, 488nm, 561nm, 640nm)
  • Up to 18 colours (excluding FSC/SSC)
  • High Throughput Sampler (HTS) attached to analyse directly from 96 well plates
  • Equipped for Ca+ flux experiments

BD FacsCantoII

  • 3 Spatially separated lasers (405nm, 488nm, 633nm)
  • Up to 8 colours (excluding FSC/SSC)
  • High Throughput Sampler (HTS) attached to analyse directly from 96 well plates

BD Symphony A1

  • 4 Spatially separated lasers (405nm, 488nm, 561nm, 637nm)
  • Up to 16 colours (excluding FSC/SSC)
  • High Throughput Sampler (HTS) attached to analyse directly from 96 well plates

Sony SP6800 Spectral

  • 3 lasers (488nm and 405nm/638nm)
  • Full spectrum Cytometer, which allows for unconventional fluorophore combinations
  • Autofluorescence reduction
  • No compensation required

Amnis Imagestream X MkII

  • 4 lasers (488nm/ 561nm and 405nm/642nm)
  • Up to 10 colours
  • Gives quantitative data along with images
  • Camera operates with 20X/40X/60X magnification with a pixel size of 0,1/0,25/1 µm2
  • Equipped with a plateloader to analyse directly from 96 wells plates

Data Workstations  data can be processed on a dedicated workstations with FlowJo Software. All flow cytometry workstations (A-E) are also equiped with High Dimensional Single Cell Data analysis Software.
